THE SEA
When I go to the seaside, I always have a seafood platter in a seafood restaurant.
Exquisite shrimps, mussels, clams, crabs, lobsters, octopuses and other kind of seafood are wonderfully cooked for me to taste.
After the meal, I go to the beach close to the seashore and sit on the sand, under a shade with my feet in the waves.
Sometimes, I lie in the sun for a while before diving into the sea and swimming.
At 6 o´clock, more or less, I usually go back home and have a shower
Once I am dressed and made up I go to the street and have a walk along the promenade to the docks in the harbour where the big vessels and ships are docked.
Walking past the harbour I get to the port where the yachts and sailing boats are.
There are some cafes and restaurants along the port, I choose one and sit at a table in the terrace, facing the port.
From time to time, when the weather is good I go on walking as far as the lighthouse where there is a pier to tide up the boats that come from the sailing boats anchored in the bay. Sunsets are beautiful from there.
When I return home I can see the fishermen with their long fishing rods, fishing nets, and baits. I admire their patience to wait hours for the fishes to bite.
If the sea is rough, the sand close to the shore is covered with seaweeds and empty shells that have to be removed by special lorries every morning so that the tourist can enjoy the beach.
When I arrive home it is dark but I still stay in the balcony looking at the lights of the ships at the horizon.
